vintage 2012 calendar

Hello, I hope you all had a good weekend, over too soon I know. But Monday is Cupcake day so can't be too bad. So, over at Cupcake Craft Challenges, we have a new challenge, which is colour on kraft.

Well I must admit, when I first saw this challenge, my heart sank. I thought I could never colour on kraft with copics. BUT ... WOW!! I started colouring and was amazed how easy it was. The only difference was that my darkest shade of each colour had to be a shade darker than I usually use.

From the outset, I had decided I would make a 2012 calendar in a cd case.

Papers used throughout: Making Memories ~Travel 6 x 6 pad. So good to use some of these papers as I've had them for 3 years and never been used.

Image: Magnolia ~Tilda in Spring Rain. I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.
I made the flowers with my Marianne Design ~ English Rose die. So awesome, I love this! Need never buy another flower again ... but don't hold me to that! I added some stickles to glitz it up a bit.

I made the template for the calendar using excel. Took me forever, but I am pleased with the end result.

Here is the cd jewel case.
and here are my calendars ...

little moments ...big memories

Wooohoooo!! I am very pleased and excited to tell you that the very sweet Faye has asked me to join her design team at Cupcake Craft Challenges, so here I am, stood here in my best clothes and newly polished shoes, as a shiny new cupcake. LOL!

So for my first challenge as a fully fledged cupcake, the theme this week is teenage boys and we are sponsored this week by Lili of the Valley who are offering a £10 gift voucher to the lucky winner, so it's worth joining in, isn't it?

It's been ages since I made an Edwin card, but these papers called for it.

Papers: Bo Bunny ~ Et Cetera. Just love these papers.

The image is Magnolia ~ Tennis Edwin, coloured with copics and not an ounce of glitter in sight!

white woods

Hello everyone,

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have an embellishment bingo recipe. I have used: snowflake, bling and doily. In fact as you can see, I've used quite a lot of bling!

Paper: S.E.I. ~ Glitzmas: Frosty the Snowflake.

I made my trees using the Magnolia ~ Spruce die, inked up the edges and added some bling.

Image: Magnolia ~ Midwinter Tilda with Lantern. I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

The square diecuts were made using Spellbinders ~ Fleur de lis squares.

There should be four little pearls on the mat, but one pinged off as I was trying to put it on and after a brief search, realised that there was little hope of finding it!

I've used Tim Holtz Sizzix ~ Snow Flurries die across the top ...

... and some Webster's Pages ~ Botanical Christmas Gems across the bottom.

life is good

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have a lilac, green and grey colour challenge. I will leave the challenge police to decide whether my green is green, bluey green or blue as I was going boss-eyed thinking about it!

I haven't made a box for ages, so I decided to make a box for this one.
Here is the top.

I've used my Nesties ~ Grand labels die to make the top and base of the box. The wooden birdcage is from the Pink Paislee ~ Butterfly Collection. I've embossed it and inked it and smeared paint on it until it ended up looking like this. The flowers have had a good spritzing of glimmer mist, so they do sparkle, but that is not showing up in these photos.

Here is the right hand side.

I have used Melissa Frances ~ 5th Avenue papers throughout.

The back of the box.
I've also used strips of Tim Holtz ~ Tissue Tape in places.

This is the left hand side of the box.
I have used a Tim Holtz ~ Corked Vial removed the cork and filled it with flowers. I glued them in to stop them falling out, added some gems and a little crochet doily.

To make the drawers, I used my Sizzix ~ Matchbox die.
Here is the first drawer.

The second drawer.

And the third drawer.

Here are all the drawers together.

I am going to pop this in at the following challenges:

kiss me ... I'm a prince

Hello there, woohoo, I've won a few challenges recently, thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. My blinkies are in my sidebar.

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity, we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow. We may be in the depths of Autumn, but I enjoyed digging out my Springtime papers for this one.

I've used Graphic 45 ~ Once Upon A Springtime papers for this one. I made the frame by popping out a frame diecut, gluing it to some chipboard and then carefully cutting out the frame. Then I embossed the edges with gold embossing powder.

The image is Magnolia ~ Fairytale Tilda. I've coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

I made some tags with the Magnolia ~ Tilda tag die.

Lots of gold embossing everywhere.
