golden gift boxes

Good morning! Not many sleeps now until Santa arrives :) Normally, I am a Bah Humbug, but I am feeling very festive this year!

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have an anything goes challenge.

I had some little pressies which I wanted to package up nicely. Apologies for the photos, they were taken very quickly on a gloomy morning before giving away.

I used the Sizzix Milk Carton die to create the box.

I decorated them with Teresa Collins ~ Noel papers, having inked the edges with walnut ink distress ink and added distress glitter clear rock candy.

I added a trim of gold beads around the bottom edge.

On two sides of each box, I die cut a Magnolia tree and a Sizzix star. Distressed each with walnut ink distress ink, gold embossing powder and distress glitter.

I finished the top front of each box with a gold embellishment from last years Christmas crackers and used the sheer ribbon trim from those crackers to close off the boxes.

Well having now given these away, I can now comment that the boxes were discarded, whilst the contents were treasured. Kind of teaches me, not to bother next time :)

you have all of my love

Good evening! Today sees a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity where we want to see some kind of musical element on your project.

I was going to make a whole batch of similar cards, but that idea fizzled out after two. LOL!

Here is the first:

Papers: Teresa Collins ~ Noel. I have tons of this paper, it is gorgeous.

Here is the second one.

Love these wooden hearts which I sprayed with glimmer mists.

Thank you for looking.

today

Hello and happy Friday! Another week rolls by. Today it is a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity where we have a theme of bugs.

With this in mind, I was packing up from a project made way back when (was running out of room on my craft desk) and saw this paper and thought it would be good to use for this challenge.

It wasn't until I'd finished that I suddenly thought, are these waspy type creatures actually bugs? Or are bugs really, crawl along the ground type creatures? You know, I did spend quite some time thinking about this ... lol. Eventually, I decided that any little creature that bugs me is a bug and these sure do, so they fit the bill.

Papers: Teresa Collins ~ Everyday Moments. These are a really beautiful luxuriously thick cardstock, love them.

The sentiment is also cut from the card and I added some Prima bloomers and a lacey flower.

Thank you for looking.

Subject: girls together

Good evening! I'm so late getting my blog post written up for this week's challenge at Cupcake Craft ChallengesTruth is, I came down with a stonking head cold yesterday evening and woke up with it full blown today. My head doesn't feel like it belongs to me and my concentration levels are zero!

So, on with the challenge where we have a think pink theme! Include as much or as little as you like.

Well when I was scrabbling around, trying to think what to do, I had a bit of a bingo moment when I came across these Teresa Collins ~ Freestyle bracket album covers.

I dug out the matching paper and cut some words from it.

Added an extra clock.

Image: Dina Wakley ~ Lonely Girl. I'm loving these stamps.

Thank you for looking!

navy white & yellow wedding day

Hello there and welcome to a new week and ... woah! cannot believe it is September already. Just dark nights for the next six months ahead. Not that I am all doom and gloom or anything, but ... perlease! we haven't even had a summer yet!

This week at Cupcake Craft Challenges we have a photo inspiration colour challenge for you.

I had no idea what I would make until I spotted this wedding stamp which has been patiently sitting on my craft table for a few months now, all ready to be used at a moments notice and then I thought of the papers that I could use for it and it was all systems go.

This is A4 size, so impossible for me to photograph.

Papers: Teresa Collins ~ Everyday Moments.

Image: La Blanche ~ Bride stamp.

I sprayed the card first with Glimmer Mist ~ Dazzling Diamonds before stamping the image, hopefully you can see this in this photo. Lots of lovely wedding shimmery-ness.

I've machine stitched most of the edges and embossed all of them with a glittery embossing powder.

Love this Prima clock and bird.

Lots of Prima bling.

The lace on the side?

It is a pull out photo card, ready for photos to be added.

Front of pull out card which has a lace tie fastening.

Inside card.

Paris album

Here is a Paris themed album that I made using Prima ~ Madeline papers and chipboard stickers.

I've used a Teresa Collins ~ 7" x 13" white scalloped album as my base and painted the edges with various colours of PaperArtsy ~ Fresco Finish Paints until I got the colour just right!

I decorated some mini manilla tags.

Added a KaiserCraft ~ Manequin.

Some vintage flowers.

Finally, the back of the album.

O, Frosty the Snowman

Hello! Did we all have a sunny and beautiful weekend? I wish it was like this all year round.

Today I am coming at you as guest designer for Cupcake Craft Challenges for the month of October. Thank you so much for having me, I am very pleased to be here.

The challenge this week is BLACK AND WHITE CHRISTMAS!

For my entry I have decorated a paper bag and then made a matching notebook to pop inside, to make a little Christmas pressie.

Here is the front.

For my papers I used Teresa Collins ~ Christmas Home: Christmas Damask papers, although I used the side with the snowflakes on it!

For the cover of the bag I made a tag using a Black Ranger Craft Tag. I rubbed some Picket Fence ~ Distress Stain over it and ran it through the Snow Flurries Texture Fades embossing folder. I then brayered the raised snowflakes with Fresco Finish ~ Snowflake paint and inked the edges with black ink. I've not done this before and so was quite pleased with the finished tag.

The image is Magnolia ~ Frosty the Snowman with Snowflake which I coloured with copics. This is my 100th Magnolia posting!!

For the front of the notebook, I just used an uncoloured version of the image.

Here is the back:

For the back I have used Magnolia ~ O Frosty the Snowman (text) stamp.

I am going to pop this in at the following challenges:

burgundy wedding

Over at Crafts 4 Eternity this week, we have a fabulous sketch to work with.

Here is my entry.

I have used Christmas papers on this! Teresa Collins ~ Noel. The chipboard elements are from Teresa Collins ~ Mr & Mrs collection.

Image used: Whiff of Joy ~ Ben & Nora: New Year Couple. Well, these work just as well as a wedding couple. As usual, I have coloured them with copics, added some stickles and some 'confetti'.

The large and mini tags are by Whiff of Joy also.
