flower for you

It's Friday again which means another fabulous challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity!

Once again, we have another fabulous sketch to work with and we are to use our favourite image and colours, so how difficult can that be?

I am also entering this into the following challenges:
Here is my entry.

For the c4e challenge I had to use my favourite colours. When I craft I am drawn to ALL colours and therefore I don't think I have a particular favourite  as different colours provide different inspiration for me.  So with this in mind I decided to make something which is more a celebration of colour. As usual click on the pics to get a better view.

Papers: Prima ~ Watercolor Rainbow Collection: Whimsy and Tropical Lagoon.

I've used the Magnolia Lace border die which I love, but also the Vintage tag which is never far from my side and definitely my most used die. I don't think I will ever tire of it!

Image: For the c4e challenge I had to choose my favourite image. Well with so many new images being released each month, I barely get time to pause for breath to choose my favourite let alone use them!! It is very rare for me to get the chance to use the same image twice, the only time it tends to happen is if it is a wedding image. So I decided to choose my favourite range of images which is of course Magnolia and then chose one I hadn't used before: Tilda Brings A Flower.

I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

Thank you for looking.

pink baby hAnglar & stAnglar

Just love the fact that I can now buy some hAnglar stamps, I've been wanting some of these for a very long time!

This week's recipe at Crafts 4 Eternity is:

The sketch

Nursery theme or image

Add a charm

I'm also entering this into the following challenges:

'X is for Xtra Dimension': ABC Challenge.

'Circles, Paint & Gems: If The Shoe Fits.

'Nice & Girly': Bunny Zoe Crafts.

Papers: Basic Grey ~ Green At Heart Just love the gorgeous colours in this set of BG papers.

Image and baby sentiment: hAnglar stAnglar ~ baby set. I coloured the image with copics and added some stickles to the white bits.

I stamped the sentiment onto the pink paper before embossing with UTEE and then placed a Tim Holtz ~ Ornate Plate over the top. The aperture was just the right size for the baby stamp. I dabbed some white paint randomly on the plate and it now looks like the raised parts are shiny. Pure fluke on my part!!

I've added a bit of lace on the right hand side and hand sewed on the buttons. (How comes I can happily do this on cards but don't want to resew buttons onto shirts??)

On the left I've used a Martha Stewart punch.

I created the hinge from my Sizzix Tim Holtz Hardware Findings die which I ran through my Big Shot Pro. Just LOVE my new machine! Added some crackle paints and gem brads.

Thank you for your visit.

PS Looking forward to the 30 degree weekend!! Wooohooo!!!

domestic goddess

We have another fabulous recipe challenge by Michele at Crafts 4 Eternity this week (and there is a cute little elephant digi stamp to be won).

1. The sketch.

2. Food theme/image

3. Use a gingham pattern.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

'metal': Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. I have used metal eyelets and brads.

'red, blue, yellow, white photo inspiration': Stamp With Us.

'cute & girly': A Spoon Full of Sugar.

'2 of something': Stamp Something. I have used two stamps and two eyelets.

Papers (as you can probably tell): Graphic 45 ~ Domestic Goddess: Miss Manners. I also use a tag, to which I added metal eyelets.

Images: Magnolia ~ Oops A Daisy Tida. She is looking rather dubious of her 'domestic goddess' title!

I also used a Prima stamp on the tag.

Thank you for looking.

paradise

WOW! It's Friday again and time for another recipe challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity, I'm sure Fridays didn't use to come round this quickly before, but who am I to complain?!

Here is the sketch and the remaining ingredients:

- use shades of blue (I took this to mean it didn't have to be only blue); and

- add some beads.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:
'shiny, sparkly & special': Papertake Weekly.

'green & blue photo colour challenge': The Play Date Cafe.

'one for the girls': Just Magnolia.

'dimension & texture': Polka Doodles.

Papers: My Mind's Eye ~ Penny Lane: Maggie May.

The background to Tilda is a piece of grunge paper that I painted with acrylics, ran it through my Texture Boutique and then rubbed some stickles on.

Image: Magnolia ~ Tilda holding Apple, coloured with copics and some stickles added.

For the bead part of the c4e recipe, I took some clear glass beads and glued them to the buttons in the centres of the flowers.

Thank you for looking.

... dear ... love ...

Here is my entry for this week's Crafts 4 Eternity recipe challenge. Do enter as there is a fab digi stamp up for grabs.

The ingredients are:

The sketch.

Use an inking technique.

Use fabric.
I am also entering this into the following challenges:

'cut it out and pop it up': Craft Creations Challenge. I have done this with my image.

'clean & simple': Saturday Spotlight. This is clean and simple for me as I didn't want to cover up the yummy papers with lots of fussy stuff.

'at least 3 different textures': Crazy 4 Challenges. I have the raised image, metal snap and flowers with sequin centres.

Papers: Webster's Pages ~ Postcards from Paris: Belle Rose and La Boutique de Jardin.

I cut out the elaborate scroll frame and inked the edges with gold as I did with the outer edges of the card too. The lines on the scroll frame represent the horizontal strips on the sketch.

I added mini fabric flowers with sequin centres to the frame. I have no idea where these came from ... a lucky discovery when looking for something else in my stash!

Image: Magnolia ~ Tilda Writing Diary coloured with copics. I love this Tilda and I think she has become my new absolute favourite!

I added another larger fabric flower and used a We R Memory Keepers snap in the centre ... I'm gradually using them up.

Thank you for looking.

At the base of the card is a piece of blue polka dot cardstock, covered with pink lace. I have then hand sewn on some buttons and added the daisy ribbon lace.

Image: CC Designs ~ Swiss Miss Rosalie coloured with copics and I added some stickles. I've also added stickles to the edges of the papers. Click the photos to get a better view.

The chipboard 'girly girl' tag is also by Imaginisce. To cover the grey chipboard, I inked the edges with white ink and added some stickles.

Edited to add:

These gorgeous flowers arrived for me this morning.

They smell fabulous! Even Henry thinks so ...

crafts 4 eternity

No card from me today I'm afraid, but I do have some exciting news ...

The very lovely Michele at Crafts 4 eternity has very kindly asked me to join her dt.

Well as you all know, I love my sketch challenges and would be lost without them and as I have stash 4 eternity how could I resist!

I've had a sneek peek at the forthcoming sketches which come with a little recipe attached and they are fab ... fab ... FAB!!

So I do hope that you will join me every Sunday when we can all join in with Michele's fab recipe challenge.

It's not too late to enter this week's challenge which can be found here and just in case you are in need of new stash (and let's face it who isn't?) you can buy online (that means shopping night and/or day ... bliss!) at the Crafts 4 eternity shop.

So if I don't see you before then, I will definitely be back on Sunday with my best frock on, nicely polished shoes and my C4E card to share. I do hope you will join us!
