Birds-a-twitter

Hi everyone! Happy weekend and what a glorious sunny day it was today. At Crafts 4 Eternity this week, we have a theme of SOCIAL MEDIA. So be inspired by facebook, twitter etc.

I thought I'd do a bird themed project, inspired by Twitter. So I upcycled a Maya Road bird shaped chip board album to make this mini album.
I've decorated both sides of each bird with Sassafraslass ~ Sweetly Smitten papers.
For the bird on the front and back of the album, I've added wings made with the Tim Holtz Sizzix ~ Heart Wings die.
I've decorated each side in such a way that a little photo can be added in most cases.
Each chipboard piece has a different eye on each side.
I just rummaged around in my stash to find bits to decorate them with.
This next side is one of my favourites. Love that pink Teresa Collins flower ribbon.
There are six chipboard pieces in total.
And now I'm running out of things to say, so will just show you the rest.

This is another of my favourites, with the leaf tail.

    sweet!

Hello! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Here we are back at Monday and another Cupcake Challenge. This time, it is my turn to choose the challenge theme, for the very first time! So in honour of our leader and the challenge, I chose: pink as the main colour, at least one cupcake and add something fluffy. Easy huh?

Here is what I came up with.

Papers: Bo Bunny ~ Sweet Tooth.
    Trims: Webster's Pages.

    note: I love you!

Hello! It's been a while. Since I last wrote, my Sweetie broke his ankle and ended up in hospital for five days. Then just as I got him settled in at home, I came down with flu. So if I have neglected you with my commenting, please bear with me and I will catch up soon as.

Today we have a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity, which is lock and key.

I have used these beautiful papers from My Mind's Eye ~ Kraft Funday 6x6 pad. These papers are very 'me'. I have glitzed the edges with distress ink and stickles.

OMG! Am sooo in love with these new gorgeous stamps I have just discovered. Need some more in the physical stamp variety please!

Image: Some Odd Girl ~ Love Letter Kaylee. I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Here is my lock and key.

Lock: Melissa Frances ~ Vintage keyhole.
    Key: 7gypsies

Also don't forget the February C4E inspired by this is packed full of inspiration if you need a prompt or some help with your mojo, you will find it here.

I am entering this in at the following challenges:

    little lady ... aged 4

Hello! Today I'm coming at you from Cupcake Craft Challenges where this week we have a pink and red colour theme challenge.

Here is my card. It is rather large, A4 size and I'm not very good taking clear photos of large projects, close up.

These fabulous papers, which are my favourite are from My Mind's Eye ~ Lost & Found 2: Blush - Better collection.

I made the name with some chipboard alphabet pieces I had lying around and created my own stickle colour by combining various different colour stickles and mixing them together until I had a colour that matched the red on the paper.

I also used the same blend of stickles around my die cut paper layers.

Image: Magnolia ~ Tilda carrying birthday cake, coloured with copics and I added some stickles.

    Here's another view.

she mailed a lettter the other day

It's Monday, which means a new challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenges. The challenge is to use something recycled.

I have recycled a hessian sack, which previously contained bird nuts and an art canvas.

I saw this idea somewhere on the internet. The idea is to decorate the back of the canvas. I have gone for a Valentine's theme with the idea that little love letters can be tucked inside.

I decorated the sides and the top of the frame with papers from the 7gypsies ~ Avignon and Barcelona lines. Strips of ribbon line the aperture.

The inside is covered with more of the 7gypsies papers. Then I've layered it with lace doilies and a brad.

I made three little tags to go inside and decorated them.

    Here are the fronts ...

... and here are the backs.

I decorated a Kaisercraft wooden padlock with words stamped from a PaperArtsy stamp and hung it from a 7gypsies ~ loop & hook display trim.

I stapled the hessian sack to the frame.

I decorated the sack with ribbons and buttons. I made the postcard using a Papermania stamp, added a red vintage postage stamp and tied a Tim Holtz ~ corked vial and pen nib to the postcard with some baker's twine.

all the ways I love you

It's Monday and a new challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenges this week the theme is all you need is love. Just perfect to get cracking on those Valentine gifts.

I have made a mini album.

    Papers: Webster's pages.

I've done lots of gold embossing around the edges and also gilded the edges of the pages with gold to give it a vintage look.

Decorated simply with a bouquet of six red roses ...

...and a single red rose on the binding.

    Photo-a-day Challenge Jan 12 Day 1, 2 & 3

I came across this 'Photo a Day Challenge' on fatmumslim blog and it kind of appealed to my imagination. I don't know if this will interest you or not, but I thought it would be a fun reminder for myself, of my life.

I am way behind on the January challenge already, so I am going to catch up by posting in batches.

    Day 1 - You

    That's me :)

Before I went on a fitness kick last year and got honed and toned

    Day 2 - Breakfast

Always starts with a black coffee, made in my new Nespresso machine, which I love! Most days I also have a yoghurt, always Muller Light.

When I have more time to spare, I treat myself to a Cappucino, Caffe Latte, Iced Cappuccino or a Latte Macchiato ... mmmm!

Day 3 - Something you adore

A pair of Mallard ducks always come to our pond each year and have their chicks and Mother Mallard usually brings them on shore to visit. This usually happens around 1st May each year.

    Aren't they adorable?
    Thank you for looking.

    loving wishes

Well here I am, back again already. Today at Cupcake Craft Challenges the challenge is Born on a Winter's Day, so we want to see a winter themed birthday card, which must be wintery looking and with a wintery image.

Papers: Basic Grey ~ Picadilly. These are mainly gorgeous summery papers, but I picked out the more frosty looking ones from there and warmed it up with a bit of red.

Used my Magnolia ~ Doo Hickey die to create lots of heart borders.

Used up some buttons as this is my year of using up my stash.

Image: Magnolia ~ Tilda with Snowheart coloured with copics and added some stickles.

Tilda is standing on a Whiff of Joy tag.

    The sentiment is also Magnolia.
