wishes ... cake ... candles

Here is a birthday card which fits SIX challenges.

I used this week's sketch at Sketch and Stash and also for their challenge used my new lace and my old papers which are some of the first papers I ever bought, but sadly neglected and never used.

This also ties in with the My Time To Craft Challenge which is to use neglected or forgotten stash.

The challenge at Just Magnolia is 'distressing'. I have kept my distressing to inking the edges of the papers - very tame for me.

At Papertake Weekly the challenge is to 'use a colour scheme to remind you of one of the seasons' mine reminds me of Spring.

A Spoon Full of Sugar asks to see something floral on our cards.

Finally, at Dutch Dare the challenge is to 'use lace on your card', which I have done.

Here is my card:

Patterned papers are from the Basic Grey ~ Cupcake collection and I used Crepe Paper, Invitation and Surprise. I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz ~ Distress Ink: Mustard Seed and machine stitched the card to Bazzill cardstock.

The image is Magnolia ~ Valentine Tilda, as usual I coloured her with my copics.

I made a double layer zig zag border with my Martha Stewart punch, inked the edges and added a strip of lace and some bling to decorate.

The 'wishes cake candles' sentiment was a sticker which I mounted onto cardstock and inked the edges. The candles are chipboard stickers by Mambi.

The flower is made up from a mixture from my stash and I added a sugar coated brad to the centre.
