monochrome journal

Good morning! This week at Crafts 4 Eternity  we have an anything but a card challenge.

So I made a journal with monochrome colours.

Papers: Basic Grey ~ Little Black Dress

I have given the base layer a bit of a mixed media treatment. So on top of the patterned paper, I have used ink, paint, rub-ons and texture paste to add a little dimension.

Papers have been trimmed with a Martha Stewart ~ Doiley punch and then curled.

I added some embellishments to the centre, including part of a Prima vine and a handmade frame, made using a Martha Stewart mold.

Finally, the journal. Stickers peeking out of a Tim Holtz pull tab.

Thank you for looking.

where flowers bloom

Hello and happy Friday! We have a fabby colour challenge over at Crafts 4 Eternity today.
These colours really did help brighten my day. The weather is so dreary and depressing at the moment, as I'm sure you all know!
Papers: Little Yellow Bicycle ~ Elizabeth Park.
I went a bit crazy with the frantage on this one. It wasn't only the card that got covered in glitter.
I made the flowers from a Martha Stewart punch, which I bought years ago and only used once before.
Image: Magnolia ~ Forget Me Not Tilda. Isn't she cute?

I made a pull out card. Love those cute birds.

And where flowers bloom.

It's the first time I've used this Tim Holtz ~ Butterfly die, another one I've had forever.

ride through life with me

Hello and a good morning to you all. Firstly, let me wish you all a Happy New Year! Unfortunately, mine hasn't got off to a flying start as I have been sick for the last 7 days and I'm getting a bit bored of it now! No doubt it will cleared by the time I have to go back to work on Monday!

Well, today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have a challenge of new technique, product or style. I have gone for new cutting dies and a punch and no I didn't get them for Christmas, I had to buy them myself! So a special treat for me:)

Apologies for the awful photos, I have never known it be so dark and all day long too!!

The image is by Crafty Secrets and I've used Spellbinders ~ Romantic Rectangles cutting dies.

You can also see the Martha Stewart ~ Doily Lace which is now my favourite punch.

Papers: The Girls' Paperie ~ Vintage Whimsy. Loving these!
