vocal beauties from the operas

Good morning! Our challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity is to add lace and/or ribbon.

I have made an album with Marion Smith Designs ~ Mad Tea Party papers as my base. I've added an acetate by Glitz, which I machine stitched along the sides.

Along the bottom I added a strip of wide lace.

I made a tag from the papers and added some washi tape and a metal brad. The clock was diecut from the Marion Smith Designs ~ Mad Tea Party papers using my Tim Holtz Sizzix Pocket Watch die. Any coincidence they match perfectly?

Some luscious Prima flowers to co-ordinate with the golden roses and green leaves on the acetate, finish it off.

To the other side I added some crocheted doilies. Not having the right shade of yellow, I sprayed a pale yellow doily with Dylusions ink. The green doily was the right colour and I just added some glitter to each, to match the flowers.

Thank you for looking.

she had Spring in her heart

Good morning! Today at Everybody Art Challenge we have a sketch for you to follow.

I decided to dig out my Prima doll stamps, not used before! I'm always the first to buy and the last to use it seems!! Anyway, I so enjoyed making this, that I went and bought some of the other doll stamps that I didn't yet have.

I used one of the tags from the Prima Tag Pad, but really, as I covered it with cardstock, I could have used any old scrap of card!

I then inked some patterns in black ink and inked some green leaves, both using Dylusions stamps. Then I painted on some script using a stamp and white paint. On top of that, I added some texture paste through a Memory Box ~ Texture Flourish stencil.

For the girl, I coloured her face and arms with copics and paper pieced the rest of her.

All papers are Glitz Design ~ Scarlett.

The flowers and butterfly are by Prima

I printed the sentiment from my computer and cut it out.

tea time recipe box

Helllloooo! I've been gone a while. over a month it seems. I just completely lost my mojo. It happens. No amount of pushing paper around will bring it back, so after doing that and failing, decided to just kick back and chill. Result .... finally .... was MOJO! Yeah!

For our challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity is anything goes! So what will you make?

I've made a recipe box. Been wanting to do one of these for ages, so this was the perfect opportunity.

I created the box myself and then added Glitz papers to the sides.

I've created flowers using the . The lid has a Tim Holtz Curio Knob to lift.

One side of the box using a Magnolia Bon Voyage Flower Die.

style.

Hello and a Happy Friday to you all. This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, our challenge is a mother theme.

Now whenever I think of my Mother, I think of her as stylish. She always was. And still is.

Soooooo ... I have also just discovered and ADORE the mixed media world. I think I have dabbled before, but not really realised it. I have soooo many art types that I like and just go with the flow as the flow goes. Don't worry, I have some cutesy Magnolias planned and coming up for those that prefer these posts. How I love being crafty, is that you can do just about anything you like. Some people like to stick to just one thing, and I do that too at times, but then I like to get daring and test the waters. Push my boundaries.

OK, so here is what I came up with, on my first mission. This was made a week ago, I have learned sooo much more since then. That even now, I would think I would do it differently.

First of all, I layered Glitz paper layers to my manila cardstock. Then I used Tim Holtz ~ Distress Stain: Picket Fence to the whole thing. Then I added bits of various stamps and tissue paper.

For my image, I use the Dylusions: Couture Collection ~ Walk in the Park stamps.

I used manila cardstock, which I inked with a Prima stamp and then sprayed with Dylusion
ink. Then I cut apart and layered as appropriate!

My other half even liked this!

For the lettering, I used Tim Holtz grungeboard letters that I've had for ever and not used. I sprayed them with Dylusions sprays, then covered them with glossy accents.

Thank you for looking.

play the game

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a really lovely Christmas. I am still enjoying some P&Q!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity the challenge is to feature a QUOTE in your project.

Today I have a sporty Magnolia to share with you. I'm not really into sports images usually, but I am really loving this set.

I have used papers by Glitz Design ~ Love Nest and Scarlett, together with a Love Games ~ Whatnot and Peek-A-Boo. LOL. Love these words.

I've used Magnolia ~ Karate Tilda and coloured her with my copics.

Layered up some lace & doilies & flowers to finish off.

I am entering this in at the following challenges:

roses for you

Today at Cupcake Craft Challenges we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow:

This is our last challenge before we break for the holidays.

Papers: Glitz Design ~ Laced with Grace.

I used a lot of eyelets! Although unintentionally. I had originally planned to just add eyelets horizontally, but after merrily punching away at the holes, realised I had punched them along the wrong edge. Dohh!! Anyway. I still like it like this.

Image: Magnolia ~ Tilda in the Garden coloured with copics and of course added some stickles.

I used a Tim Holtz ~ Scallop die along the edge of the paper Tilda is standing on.

bingo love

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have my favourite theme ... vintage, together with the sketch, which is nice and  simple, but ...

OMG! I really struggled with this one. We are now in week 2 of lost crafty mojo and it is hell!!! LOL!! I haven't even been blog hopping, because I haven't been able to bear to see you all enjoying yourselves getting inky. Anyway, I think salvation is now at hand, now that Tim has started his 12 tags and its reawakening my mojo.

So here is my piece (which is nothing to do with Tim's tags by the way).

I've used vintage colours and teamed it with bright colours, because they did use bright colours in days gone by, it's just that they've faded with time.

The background paper is Basic Grey ~ Wisteria. I've scuffed up the edges and embossed with gold embossing powder and then sat it onto some bright pink bazzill.

The bingo card is a Glitz Design ~ Love Nest Whatnot, which I sprayed with glimmer mist and scuffed and embossed the edges.

I've added a scalloped edge with a Magnolia ~ Doo Hickey die which I then embossed.

I then made a flower with a lace doiley a Magnolia ~ Doo Hickey flower die, a pink velvet leaf and then I added a vintage button from my button stash.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:
'vintage': My Time To Craft.
'2 circles, 2 squares, plus buttons & bling': Stampin' For The Weekend.
'children': By the Cute & Girly.

OK, now I am off to finish Tim's Day 1 tag which I started last night. This one is taking forever, there is so much to it!! Hopefully I will be able to post it tomorrow when it's done.

Thanks for looking.
