puppy dog tales

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have a recipe challenge to include: fabric, buttons and beads.

I've finally cut into my favourite papers Prima ~ Jack 'n Jill. Almost everything I've used on this is by Prima.

I used my Grand Nestabilities ~ Labels die to cut the shape. I had a problem with this though, as my multipurpose platform was smaller than the die and I've scoured the internet and cannot find anything similar which is larger. So I just stacked my Sizzix Big Shot Pro up with a pile of magazines, so that I could make the cut!

The image is CC Designs ~ Puppy Kiki which I coloured with copics and added some stickles.

The scalloped edge trims were made with Tim Holtz Sizzix ~ Scallops die.

I made a little pull out tag.

I am also entering this in at the following:
'up in the air + option green': Cupcake Craft Challenges. I have butterflies.
'Spring time': The Pink Elephant, Crafty Calendar Challenge and By the Cute & Girly
'something sweet': Stamp Something. I think the image and papers are sweet.

Thank you for looking.

cupcake belle gift box

I am hopelessly late with my entry for Crafts 4 Eternity this week, where we have a PINK AND BROWN colour challenge.

I thought I would make a quick box, although by the time I'd finished faffing about, it took forever!

To cut out the box I used my nesties, the grand and the smaller labels. Then I used my Sizzix ~ Matchbox die to cut out the box.

Paper: My Mind's Eye ~ Lost & Found: Union Square "Home Sweet Home" Collage and Quite Contrary: Mary Mary "Best of Friends" Play.

The cute little image is CC Designs ~ Cupcake Belle. Isn't she sweet?

I've coloured her with copics and added stickles.

The sentiment is by Magnolia.

I'm going to pop this in at the following challenges:

'for a loved one': Creative Card Crew
'anything but a card': Simon Says
'cut it out': Our Creative Corner

Thank you for looking.

my favourite highlights from 2010

Last year I picked out my favourite project from each month and this year I am doing the same. This year, for the most part I found it quite easy to pick a favourite, some months there were a few that I really liked but my favourite always shone through. Isn't it a nice feeling when you actually like the stuff you produce?! Although I do have some that I look at and never want to see again! LOL! My one regret this year is that I didn't produce as nearly enough as the year before. Must rectify that for the year ahead.

So onto my personal monthly favourites for 2010, just click on the month heading to go to the original post.

I just love this one, love the red, love the devil Tilda, love the song.

February ~ Happy Halloween

Halloween in February?? I just love how I enjoyed making this 'out of season'.

I just love this stamp. I remember waiting, chomping at the bit for her UK release. My fave CC Design stamp to date.

I just love the innocence of this sweet Sarah Kay stamp.

I love the layers and the crackle and the distressing on this one. It is one I go back to time and time again when I want to inspire myself.

I think this was my first time playing with the Tim Holtz dies and I just loved it.

I'm not sure why my favourites end up being red or pink as these are so not my colours, but I do remember this being one of my most favourite projects to make. Love the image and the vellum.

I was torn in August as to which to choose, but finally settled on this one. Love the Leanne Ellis image (must use more of her), love the envelope, love the tag, love the kraft paper, love the colours.

Of course I had to choose this one for this month. As well as being one of my most visited blog posts it is also a favourite of mine and I still pull out the original piece from time to time to kick start my mojo.

I so enjoyed colouring this one and adding the elements, that I had to include it here.

Again a dilemma to choose this month, but I loved the colours and I loved to emboss on this one.

Finally, December the month of Tim Holtz inspiration and this is the tag that I loved to create the most, so far although I've not yet finished them. My favorite of Tim's tags I have not yet attempted :)

So there you have it, a year's worth of creations in the blink of an eye. Which would you choose?

Thank you for looking and wishing you the healthiest and wealthiest of New Years!!

vintage bride

Challenges:

'wedding': Stampavie & more.

'spots & dots': Crafty Creations.

'anniversaries': Cute Card Thursday.

'going dotty': Creative Card Crew.

'distressed somethings': Stamp Something.

Once again I used those fabulous papers from the Graphic 45 ~ Fashionista Collection and inked the edges.

I used my Martha Stewart heart border punch to create the heart frame.

The lace was attached with Tim Holtz brads and I glimmer misted the rose.

This gorgeous bride image is by CC Designs. You will see this a lot from me, because she is fabulous! I coloured her with my copics and added some stickles.

I apologise that I haven't had a chance to blog hop lately, my time has been taken up with other {less exciting} things. I will make up for it over the weekend and I look forward to coming to visit you all.

Thank you for visiting me!

girly girl

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is my first card as dt member on Crafts 4 eternity.

This week the recipe ingredients are:

1. the sketch

2. include chipboard

3. use polka dots

We do hope that you will join us.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

'ribbons': Belli Challenge.

'something cute': Stamp Something.

'dazzle us': Fussy & Fancy Friday.

'get out something old & use it': Our Creative Corner. I have used a daisy ribbon which I bought when I first started crafting.

'hearts': Stamp with Fun. I have hearts on the background paper and dress of the girl.

'colour challenge inspired by pinks, white and blue of photo': Stamp With Us.

I have spun the sketch on it's side.

Papers: Imaginisce ~ Perfectly Posh. I have also used a white polka dot Bazzill piece as the background to the image. Beneath that is a piece of pink polka dot cardstock, also Bazzill.

At the base of the card is a piece of blue polka dot cardstock, covered with pink lace. I have then hand sewn on some buttons and added the daisy ribbon lace.

Image: CC Designs ~ Swiss Miss Rosalie coloured with copics and I added some stickles. I've also added stickles to the edges of the papers. Click the photos to get a better view.

The chipboard 'girly girl' tag is also by Imaginisce. To cover the grey chipboard, I inked the edges with white ink and added some stickles.

Edited to add:

These gorgeous flowers arrived for me this morning.

They smell fabulous! Even Henry thinks so ...
