A Royal Proclamation

Well here I am again, running late but hey! I made the right day at least!

This week at Cupcake Craft Challenges we have a theme of royalty. Very fitting with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee coming up this weekend.

Papers ~  My Mind's Eye ~ Lost & Found: Market Street. I'm having a bit of a thing using up my MME papers at the moment, but I have so many and they are so lovely!!

I've also got the colouring bug back. Can't believe I've been away from it for so long! This time I'm back to my trusty old copics for this Magnolia ~ Princess Welcome Tilda.

I also made a little tag to tuck behind.

smitten

What a beautiful, gorgeously sunny day we've had here today. Always makes me feel good! I am a bit late with our challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity where we have a HEXAGON challenge.

Also, don't hold your breath, but this is the first time I've coloured up an image in forever!! I had to check back and the last time I posted with a coloured image was 20 Feb, that's over three months ago!! I think I got out of the habit and then got too scared to do it!!

Papers: My Mind's Eye ~ Love Me

Image: I masked the Magnolia ~ Tilda in Havanna with the Cafe Chair and coloured her with my Distress Markers and added some stickles.

The jury is still out for me with the distress markers. I bought the whole set and now I wonder if I should have done. They were easy enough to colour with, but I didn't like the way the colours kept drifting where I didn't want them to go. Also I don't like the tube they come in. Means I have to keep sorting out the colours everytime I want to use them. They are not refillable either, another negative in my book. You are wondering why I bought them? LOL! So am I! I'll let you know if I learn to love them, but right now I prefer my copics.

regal bird

Hello! I have another project to share today, for this week's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is things with wings. I have birds!

I've used the My Mind's Eye ~ Lost & Found: Union Square papers. Gorgeous and glittery!

I made some tags to put in the pockets for a message to be written on.

Here are the front & back of the tags.

purple & green box

Woah! What a week this has been! Am crawling on my hands and knees to Friday and looking forward to the weekend. It has been so hectic and only four days long!

At least I managed to get my entry made for this week's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity although it has taken me all week to make it! The challenge this week is a purple and green colour challenge.

For this I made a box, but because my crafting time has been so sporadic, I kind of lost my mojo midway and couldn't work out how to decorate it. Also I don't think purple and green are my colours, so this certainly was a challenge for me.

Apologies for the awful photos. What can I say, when it rains it pours and it does so every day at the moment.

Here is the top, sorry for the reflection below, but it shows the depth, although this kind of photo would cause me a migraine, so I hope to change it come the weekend!

I made a water distressed tag and then added La Blanche ~ Clock Collage stamp. I then diecut some borders and applied a couple of layers of UTEE.

For the top, I added some paper flowers, a Tim Holtz keyhole and a Prima dangly trinket. Just needs a photo added under the dome.

Left hand side.

All papers and brads used are Basic Grey ~ Eva 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 papers. How ancient are these?

Right hand side.

Front of boxes, looking a bit busy for my liking.

Paris album

Here is a Paris themed album that I made using Prima ~ Madeline papers and chipboard stickers.

I've used a Teresa Collins ~ 7" x 13" white scalloped album as my base and painted the edges with various colours of PaperArtsy ~ Fresco Finish Paints until I got the colour just right!

I decorated some mini manilla tags.

Added a KaiserCraft ~ Manequin.

Some vintage flowers.

Finally, the back of the album.

London 2012

Hello, here we are once again at Monday and the start of a new challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenges. The challenge this week is the best of British and we have this photo inspiration for you.

So many possibilities, there are a gazillion ideas contained within these photos. I went for the top left corner photo, with famous British landmarks and came up with this.

This is London 2012!! LOTS going on in our capital city this year.

I've kept with the red, white and blue theme and have used Bo Bunny ~ Liberty papers and even though these are American themed, have used the fireworks papers to celebrate all things British.

I created a tag using the distress ink water technique and stamped the Penny Black ~ London stamp onto it.

beneath a sugar sky

Uggg, I don't like this new blogger, I can't work out what I am doing!

Well, today it is Friday which means a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity, where we have the challenge of SPRING.

I have decorated a paper bag and popped a little book inside.

Sorry about the rubbish photos but it does nothing but rain here lately.
Papers and some of the embellishments are from the Prima ~ Jack n' Jill Collection.

The little hear border is of course a Magnolia die.

I tucked a tag inside, but have forgotten to take a photo, so will do that later, if I remember!

Here is the back.

I made a spiral bound mini book to go inside.

b for baby

Hi there, mega short and sweet from me today. Have had a busy week and also one of my beloved kitties has gone missing, for three days now. He has gone missing before, but not for this long when we've been at home, so am really worried.  He was acting a bit sulky in the couple of days before he disappeared, so I am hoping he is just off on a sulky huff and will be back soon!! But I miss him dreadfully, and just want to see his face at my craft room window meowing at me as if it was my fault he has been neglected so long. Yup, I did say he was a 'he'.

Well on to today's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity where we have the challenge of Something New.

My card is for a new baby. Simply made as I just used up scraps. I have bags of scraps and sometimes I force myself to sit and use them.  Not often enough though as my scraps bags are bulging at the seams!

Anyway, using up my scraps is a HUGE challenge for me, as normally I just want to crack on with something new and more detailed and I find it takes a whole new mind set to sit down and make a simple card.

Thank you for looking :)

enchanted

Hello, hello! Well, if you have arrived here from Cupcake Craft Challenges you will know that we have a theme this week of add structure such as glossy accents, glitter, snow, gesso etc. You might also notice that my finished piece isn't the same as what I submitted at CCC, as I fiddled with it after and made a mini album.

Once again I have used Bo Bunny ~ Enchanted papers, only this time I cracked open the 12 x 12 papers. Love the glitter accents on these papers.

For the challenge, I added a Woodware ~ Manequin and covered the solid part of the body with Glossy Accents and then sprinkled some Doodlebug ~ Black Glitter over, to create the sparkly dress. I then added three white pearls.
