a Royal wedding

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity the theme is anything goes.

In honour of the Royal Wedding today, I have made a Royal Wedding album.

The binding looks a bit funny as I haven't done it up properly yet or put pages in there.

Papers: Teresa Collins ~ Freestyle.

Image: Penny Black ~ Bride & Groom which I embossed.

I bought the keyring from Westminster Abbey, where William and Kate were married today.

I am going to pop this in at the following challenges:

'royal or patriotic': Daring Card Makers.
'pile it on (at least 5 layers)Stamptacular Sunday.
'a right Royal knees up': A Spoon Full of Sugar.
'use an object not intended for crafting': PaperPlay Challenges. I have used the keyring.
'happily ever after': Penny Black Saturnday Challenge.

Thank you for looking.

all that jazz

I just love jazz music, do you? This is my entry (for which I am very late) for our challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. This week, we have a recipe challenge: a doiley, a charm and a feather. Now I must admit, I'm all out of feathers apart from the ones that my cat leaves strewn all over the patio, so that sent me rummaging through my paper stash looking for cardstock with feather patterns on them. Surprisingly there were quite a few, but as soon as I came across this one: Graphic 45 ~ Curtain Call, I knew that this was the one I wanted to play with. I have used a little strip of the peacock feather cardstock in my piece.

I distressed a tag using a Tim Holtz technique and stamped it with stamps from Graphic 45 ~Curtain Call 3 collection.

Added a lace doiley ...

... and a mini tag with a Tim Holtz ~ Type Charm.

I am going to pop this in at the following challenges:

'distressing': Simon Says Stamp & Show.
'dancing shoes/vintage': Created By Hand.
'vintage': Truly Scrumptious.
'truly dimensional': Papertake Weekly.

Thank you for looking.

teardrops ... miss u

At Crafts 4 Eternity this week, the colour recipe is YELLOW and GREEN.

For my piece, I have used the beautiful sketch by Chelsea at Crafting Life's Pieces.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:
'just add flowers': The Crazy Challenge.
'tons of texture': A Spoon Full of Sugar.
'anything goes': Papertake Weekly and All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge.
'doily die or lace': CCEE Stampers.
'Spring is in the air flowers everywhere + pastels with a touch of brown': All That Scraps Magnolia Challenge.

Here is my finished piece:

I've used Basic Grey ~ Curio papers, combining the 12x 12 and 6x6. These papers are just gorgeous.

I used a Tim Holtz ~ Ornate Plate for my title. Just dabbed some gold paint on to make it look a little more vintage.
The teardrop embellishments are by Maya Road. I stuck some paper on the back and inked the edges.

Couldn't resist making a pull out tag again.
The image is Magnolia ~ Farewell Tilda. As usual I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

Pretty crocheted doilies.
Thank you for looking.

butterfly garden

I ran short of time making my Mother's Day card this year, so decided to do something a little different, instead of colouring up an image.

I'd just bought these gorgeous papers Pink Paislee ~ Butterfly Garden. I used the 6 x 6 version of the papers on this. They are so pretty!

I used a Tim Holtz ~Kraft Glassine Pocket on the front. I added a strip of patterned paper and stamped the flower image from the Pink Paislee ~ Butterfly Garden stamp collection using distress ink.

I added a Prima butterfly - I inked up the edges and added some stickles. Then I folded the flap of the pocket back on itself, spritzed it with glimmer mist and secured it with a brad.

I made a tag with some little handsewn buttons and added some lace.

I am going to pop this into the following challenges:

'flower palette inspiration photo': The Shabby Tearoom.
'Mum's the word': My Time To Craft.
'buttons, bling & bloom': Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

Thank you for looking.

celebration

Today we have a fab sketch at Crafts 4 Eternity.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

'no kids allowed birthday': Stamptacular Sunday.
'celebrate good times': City Crafter.
'black, red, cream, yellow': Color Throwdown.

Here is my finished piece.

I've used Cosmo Cricket ~ Circa 1934 papers which are just fabulous all on their own.

The tag is  7gypsies and is just tucked behind so that it can be pulled out and written on. I added a button to it.

The image is Elisabeth Bell ~ Willow Dressing Up. I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

Well I woke up to a stonking migraine this morning which completely scuppered my day, so I am going to try and salvage what's left of it by getting some crafty time in.

Thank you for looking.
