red & white santa

Ooh, it's nearly Christmas! It seems forever since I've been here, I nipped over to Thailand for two and a half weeks :)

Look at this baby jumbo, only six months old. He was so cute, he just wanted to play.

Now I have 17 glorious days off work! Lots of time to get crafty, I hope! This is a real luxury for me, to have some time at home. Seems strange to just be chilling out after a really hectic year.

Anyway, today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have an ANYTHING GOES challenge.

Last weekend I decided I need to make some very quick cards and so this is what I came up with.

Papers: Papermania ~ Home for Christmas

Image: La Blanche ~ Santa with a letter

I used a Spellbinders ~ Floral oval die to cut the frame.

The flower is made from a Spellbinders ~ Poinsettia die.

Thank you for looking! I'm looking forward to popping by your blogs and catching up with you all again.

Merry Christmas!!

12 days of Christmas

Woohoo! Today we have a CHRISTMAS theme at Crafts 4 Eternity. Well I don't often bow to Christmas, but I decided to make an album that I've been wanting to do ever since I got into papercrafting and that is a 12 days of Christmas mini album. I warn you now, this is photo heavy!

For the cover I used a Spellbinders ~ Poinsettia die.

This is quite a chunky album and here are the pages.

Inside cover:

First page:

Second page: for each left hand page I made a pocket for a pull out tag, meant for journalling that day's page. The right hand page is for adding the photographic memory of that day.

The first day of Christmas starts with Christmas day.

Papers ~ I've used a mixture from Making Memories, Simple Stories and Authentique.

Day 2:

Day 3 doesn't have a pullout tag.

Day 4: You might notice that the binding edges of each pages are covered with washi tape.

Day 5: I will show you the left and right hand page

Day 6:

Day 7:

Day 8:

I used Doodlebug for the red & white twine.

Day 9:

Day 10:

Day 11:

Day 12:

turquoise white & black wedding: happiness be yours

Hello there! Well you can tell I didn't have a seasonal bone in my body when I made this piece for the black, white and one other colour at Cupcake Craft Challenge!

I don't know what it was about this challenge, but for some reason I went for a wedding theme using turquoise, white and black.

I have a very white background with a touch of turquoise and a hint of black.

This is pretty much Magnolia themed.

Images: I can never tire of this couple Magnolia: Sitting Wedding Tilda and Sitting Wedding Edwin. Coloured with copic markers and I added some stickles. I have them sitting on a Magnolia ~ Vintage Couch which I just inked and cut out, adding on some stickles to mute the brightness a little.

Magnolia sentiment.

And even Magnolia Doohickeys with a lush Teresa Collins brad.

you have all of my love

Good evening! Today sees a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity where we want to see some kind of musical element on your project.

I was going to make a whole batch of similar cards, but that idea fizzled out after two. LOL!

Here is the first:

Papers: Teresa Collins ~ Noel. I have tons of this paper, it is gorgeous.

Here is the second one.

Love these wooden hearts which I sprayed with glimmer mists.

you & me forever

Hello! Today we have a sketch challenge starting at Cupcake Craft Challenges, where Donna has created this fabulous sketch for us to play with.

For my design, I created a box, as I really enjoy making boxes. No idea why!

Papers: My Mind's Eye ~ Miss Caroline: Howdy Doody</u>. These are gorgeous!

Image and sentiment: Some Odd Girl ~ Romantic Gwen. I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

I made the paper flowers and put some inside the box too.

Thank you for looking. Have a lovely week!

you can dance

In the words of Madonna ... you can dance ...

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity we have this fabulous colour challenge. You can use any combination of the colours that you like, but I just love a pink and purple colour combo, so went with it.

I used my Spellbinders ~ Grand Labels Four to cut out a double layer and I cut an aperture in the top layer and then glittered all the edges.

Papers: >Fancy Pants ~ Dancing Girl.

In the back of my head, I wanted to create an effect as if she were on stage, but I'm not sure I achieved that.

Love this cute little Tilda Magnolia ~ Tilda with Ballet Shoes. I coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

Off to a bonfire night tonight, burgers & mulled wine. Yum!

witches sticks

Hello, today at Cupcake Craft Challenges we have a theme of witches and/or pumpkins.

Here is my piece.

Papers: Pebbles Inc ~ Tricks and Treats.

Image: Make It Crafty ~ Witchy Wanda. I embossed her in white onto a black tag. I've combined this with My Mind's Eye
stamps and added some little peel off spiders.

I made the flowers with the Sizzix ~ Tim Holtz Poinsettia die and added a Prima flower to the centre.
