chic bebe boy

Hello all, I'm terribly late with my Crafts 4 Eternity post this week. It seems my crafty mojo has gotten up and taken a walk. I seem to have spent all my spare time this week, just shuffling papers about and not achieving anything!

Well onto the challenge, where we have the sketch and are required to use stars.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

'anything goes': A Spoon Full of Sugar.
'white with a splash of colour':If The Shoe Fits.
'anything beginning with R': Creative Belli. I have ribbon.

Papers: Teresa Collins ~ Chic Bebe Boy.

Image: Lili of the Valley ~ Baby Blanket coloured with copics.

The stars I've used are actually chipboard asterisks, some of which I painted. Hmmmmm, not sure how long these will stay here for.

Thanks for looking.

let the music play on

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity we have the theme 'silver and blue' to be used in conjunction with this sketch.

I am also entering into the following challenges:

'3 of anything': Daring Card Makers I have three butterflies;
'make it shine':  If the Shoe Fits;
'things with wings': Gingersnap Creations;
'square': Stamp with Fun;
'sparkle & shine': Saturday Challenge;
'sparkle': Simon Says.

Here is my entry:

I've used papers from the Pink Paislee ~ Parisian Anthology line. As soon as I started using these papers, I went back online and ordered some more ... they are lush!

The silver ruffled ribbon trim is from the same line.

I've done a lot of embossing of the edges in a mixture of blue then silver and sometimes just silver.

The image is of course Magnolia ~ Tilda playing violin. As usual, I've coloured her with copics and added some stickles.

The butterflies were made from a butterfly stamp from the same Parisian Anthology line. I embossed the stamped image in blue and silver embossing powder and then embossed the edges in silver.

Thank you for looking.

home for the holidays vintage Christmas paper bag album

This project took a little while in the making, as I had to keep putting it aside to do other things, but it is finished now! I quite enjoyed pottering about with it and coming back to it from time to time.

Warning: This post is VERY photo heavy.

For my paper bag album I used the theme: Home for the holidays.

You can enlarge the photos by clicking on them.
All papers used in this project come from the Bo Bunny ~ Be Good collection. I pretty much used them all up and must now resist the urge to go and buy them all again, because they are so delish.

For the house I used a Maya Road chipboard house which I decorated with the papers. The windows were made from a Sizzix ~ Haunted House die, I just added a bit of stickles to look like snow. The door is a button, I wrapped some thread around it and added some stickles. Do you like the smoke rising from the chimney? That was a die cut from the paper collection.

Here is the inside of the front cover.

I've used 6" x 12" paper bags and used them for their entire length.

At the bottom right hand corner on the front of each bag, I have machine stitched a letter from the Bo Bunny die cuts and as you go through the album, it spells out the word 'home'.

Each bag has two pull out inserts which run the entire length of the bag.

Here is the back of the 'h' bag.

All sentiments, tags etc are all from the same Bo Bunny collection.

Each pull out insert has a little lace tag attached with staples.

Back of the 'o' bag.

Here is the 'm' front page with some close ups.

I love this Santa. He was taken from a Crafty Individuals paper pad and glued to a Tim Holtz ~ Fragment. I then embossed the edges with gold. I love the vintagey effect it gives. I added a little tinkling bell.

Back of the 'm' bag.

Almost forgot to show the inserts.

Have yourself a merry little christmas.

You may have noticed that at the opening of each bag, I have made a fastening. As it is a vertical album, I didn't want the tags falling out the bottom of the bags. They could become quite heavy once photos and other memorabilia are added to them.

Back of the 'e' page.

And a close up of the fastening.

A chipboard cover for the back.

And there you have it, all ready to be decorated.

I'm popping this in at the following challenges:
'Christmas traditions': Sir Stampalot.
'Buttons': Crafty Creations.
'Christmas': Crazy For Challenges.
'Holidays': ABC Challenge.
'Anything for Christmas but not a card': Bunny Zoes Crafts.

Thank you for looking.

may your days be merry and bright

It's Christmas this week at Crafts 4 Eternity, with the requirement also to use a Santa image.

I've used papers from the Bo Bunny ~ Noel collection and I've embossed the edges with gold embossing powder.

I've used a PaperArtsy stamp to emboss the gold baubles and the strip of holly.

Image: Magnolia ~ Cool Santa coloured with copics and added some stickles.

The baubles and sentiment are Bo Bunny ~Noel chipboard stickers. I embossed the edges with gold, spritzed them with glimmer mist, punched a whole in the top and added some gold lace.

I am also entering this in at the following challenges:
'square cards': Crazy 4 Challenges.
'create in 3's': Little Red Wagon. I've added 3 embossed baubles.
'anything goes': Cute Card Thursday.
'ribbon, lace & flowers': PaperPlay Challenges.

Thank you for looking.

reindeer tag

I made this tag using left over pieces from this project.

The papers are Little Yellow Bicycle ~ Christmas Delight

I was inspired by the reindeer on the papers to use my Sizzix Tim Holtz ~ Reindeer Flight die to make this reindeer. I inked the edges of the deer and papers with black soot distress ink and added some glimmer mist to the reindeer as I 'have to' glimmer mist everything at the moment. Love the stuff!

I didn't notice until I looked at the photos that I've manage to break his leg. Oops!! I will fix that by wrapping a piece of black ribbon around it.

Here's the back of the tag, also glimmer misted. Love this stuff. Did I say that already?

There's a bit of distressing going on.

I added some fibres to hang out the top of the tag and this must have been the quickest thing I ever made!!

I'm going to pop this in at the following challenges:
If the Shoe Fits: 'feeling blue'.

Stampin' B's Design Team: 'feature an animal in a diecut'.

Paperminutes: 'bookmark or tag'.

P.S. Looking forward to Tim's 12 tags of Christmas ... hope he's doing it again this year and hope I manage more than the 3 I did last year!
Thank you for looking.

every child begins the world again

I have been having a play with Webster's Pages for my entry today at Crafts For Eternity.

There is a fab sketch once again and we are also required to add doodling (which erm I forgot to do!).

I am also entering this into the following challenges:
'anything goes': Just Magnolia.

'curves': Raise the Bar.

'embellishments': A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Papers: Webster's Pages ~ Lullaby Lane. I've mixed 12 x 12 & 6 x 6 papers and embossed the edges with white embossing powder.

Image: Magnolia ~ Standing Baby coloured with copics.

The sentiment is a Webster's Pages ~ Fabric Fancy

I added some trims.

Thank you for looking.
